Maplestory Reboot Papulatus Dmg Range

MapleStory Full Papulatus Guide 09:35 MapleStory Full Papulatus Guide.html In order to solo clock using the technique which i will be showing later,u need to be able to knock back clock constantly. This technique is best used on arch mages/bishops so i’ve decided to post it here. If your range is low, bosses like Pink Bean, Von Leon or Easy Magnus will take some time but you can kill them before the timer runs out. And lol what gekkegerrit said about his estimated ranges, it is way too much Normal Zakum - can be done with 10k range easily Normal Hilla - 50k Easy Horntail - not sure what minimum range, but it's really easy.

Chaos Papulatus

Maplestory reboot papulatus dmg range 1
Introduction
Chaos Ludibrium Clock Tower (aka, Chaos Papulatus, cpap) is the third chaos raid announced in Global Maplestory 2 (GMS2).
Maplestory papulatus guideAt time of writing, we are unsure if we will be receiving the mechanically toned down CMS2 version, or original and significantly harder KMS2 version.
This guide will draw from KMS2 sources, however the strategy and flow of the fight will be speculative as the author has not completed the Chaos equivalent of this dungeon before.
The challenge of this dungeon seems to be swift clearance of adds in the first half of the fight as failure to do so will reduce the remaining time available. The other challenge is that every player has personal responsibility to manage their own buffs during the latter half of the fight as failure to do so will essentially result in a death.
Executive (TLDR) Summary

Papulatus Mark

100% - Start, shields begin [15:00]
95% - Roof add phase
---- Ideally DPS boss 10%/minute
---- 1 o’clock - 2 dark stars
---- 11 o’clock - 2 dark stars
---- 5 o’clock - 2 bombs
---- 7 o’clock - 2 bombs, 1 dark star, 3 mini stars
---- Center above boss - 2 robots
65% - Buff phase - Very long phase [Time to beat: 9:00]
---- Ideally DPS boss 10%/minute
---- Buff change every minute. Can randomly extend for 30s.
22% - Final phase
---- 12 o’clock - 3 mini stars
---- Stay alive and burn boss.
Preparation
At time of writing, we are unfamiliar with the tightness of scaling. 7800 gear score is the entry requirement. To reach this gear score, players are required to have either:
Dungeon Journal suggested:
Epic weapon, top and bottom +14
Legendary helm, gloves and shoes +11
Epic accessories.
Author suggested:
Epic weapon +15 (or 15/14 for dual wield)
Legendary top, bottom, helm, gloves, shoes +10
Epic accessories
This entry requirement is extremely steep, however the reward justifies the means.
Requirements:
At least 1x HG/RB/Wiz with priority on HG. 1x priest, 1x knight optional, remainder DPS.
HG is used for 7 o’clock bombs, adds and magnetic field for final phase.
The hit cap seems to be between 97-101. 101 is listed as the accuracy requirement from data mining however with character dex accuracy it should be closer to 97-99. You can bridge this gap with +5 from Sharp Eyes (archer), +1 or +2 for guild buff, +5 from 50 red star tonic (expensive).
Be sure to use the house pierce buff as well as guild buffs. There is a guild buff for accuracy as well as phys/magic pierce. Buffs such as Special Warrior Tonic and Special Mage Tonic are beneficial. Each give 3% damage, last 15 minutes and persist through death. Preferred food is the 6% party wide damage increase from the Rue daily vendor (noodles or something).
Pre-Entry Checklist

    The Fight
The fight consists of one primary platform, two bomb platforms and 3 ladders to access adds that need to be cleared. cpap will be in the bottom portion of the room the entire fight switching between bomb, blue buff (-SP) and red buff (stun) phases.
The success of the fight is determined by clearance of roof adds and correct buff management. Cpap has 1.4bn health.
    The Map
The boss appears in the center of the room. The six solid red stars denote the “black star” add, hollow orange stars are “mini [black] stars” and the yellow circles are laser adds.
Ladders that each reach two black stars are at 1 o’clock and 11 o’clock. Two bombs spawn at 5 and 7 o’clock each with a black star each.
    Phase 1 - Start
Phase 1 is the introductory phase which demonstrates cpap’s basic abilities. After boss performs alarm explosion (95%), adds will begin spawning. There are a lot of skills, most are very obvious.
    Shield
Cpap will gain a shield reducing damage taken by 50% per stack.
This shield is removed by throwing bombs on him. These bombs are located at the 5 and 7 o’clock platforms.
Sometimes cpap will gain a double stack, the second shield gives 80% damage reduction.
You can preemptively position yourself to chain throw two by picking a bomb up and waiting at the next bomb location (GIF above).
Later on in the fight, the bridge to jump over disappears.
Thieves can jump over with roughly 160% MS.
You need haste + cunning CD.
The above is the preferred strategy for the last phase.
    Grab onto the wall.
Press jump, pick up, fall into the abyss, then throw the bomb on cpap.
DO NOT GRAB BACK ONTO THE WALL or you will lose the bomb.
    Falling Cogs
Just dodge. Super hard to see under holy symbol.
    Gear Clock
    2 debuffs can be applied:
48% ms decrease and SP Seal
Buff duration equivalent to time you step on.
    Frontal Clap
If the boss is looking at someone and his gaze chases them, that is the giveaway animation for the clap.
    Frontal Laser
If you’re at 5 o’clock, dodge using ladder (below).
If you are a bomb thrower, you will have time to throw two bombs and get on ladder.
    Rotating Laser
    Some rando AOE skill
    Get out of the circle.
    Ground Slam
    Dodge the falling gears.
    Alarm Explosion
The boss will deal raid wide intensive AOE damage for 30 (?) seconds.
    15% HP (?) a hit.
    PRIESTS: INTENSIVE HEALING
KNIGHTS: SHIELD THIS IF YOU CAN, USE AOE DMG REDUCTION
    Black Star and Laser Adds
Lasts 35~ seconds, reduce time by 90s.
Use hammers to kill. If you get hit whilst holding hammer, you drop it.
The laser adds in the center (top picture, right side) will shoot at people, when hit, those players will drop hammer.
This results in longer time to kill black stars which means you may lose time.
The center adds need to be focused down by the 7 o’clock ledge player or supported by 1 o’clock.
A knight can typhoon both adds together and use one hammer swing to kill both.
The two sets of two black stars (above) need to be killed with hammers, doesn’t matter which hammer.
    Center 2 is known as “11 o’clock”. Right 2 is known as “1 o’clock”.
    Mini Star Adds
There are two areas mini star adds that spawn in the beginning.
One at 7 o’clock ledge, above the ladder.
Two on the rails above 7 o’clock. They all reduce time by 30s. They last for about 3 seconds.
The above is the 7 o’clock ledge, above the ladder.
The below is the two on the rails above 7 o’clock.
Heavy Gunner’s homing and Runeblade’s Illusory Blade also hits.

    Phase 2 - Blue Buff
This is the most complicated part of the fight. Essentially, there is a blue and red buff phase. The boss will give you a resist buff which mostly protects you from his abilities. You cannot get the next resist buff if you already have a resist buff on you. Therefore, you need to control the time of your buff using the math formulas on the ground. The resist buff needs to expire close to the boss’s buff so there is minimal time you are unprotected. Sometimes cpap will extend his buff duration by 30s.
The general idea is that blue cpap drains SP, red cpap stuns.
At the beginning of each blue/red phase, the boss will give everyone in the circle (below) a corresponding resist buff. You must be in this circle to get the buff.

You can control the buff duration on you standing on the maths formulas.
The buff alternation takes 1 second to set in after you stand on it.
By default, the boss gets a 1 minute buff and gives players a 30s buff.
    Above is the blue buff.
    Below is the red buff.
    Fist Swing
In the blue phase, if you do not have the blue resist buff, this skill will drain all your SP for 15 seconds. Rending your DPS useless.
Swing range is really large. Need to be complete away from front.
    Black Hole
The blue buff will give you a damage reduction shield, but you should also be dashing out of this.
    Blue Frontal Laser
The blue shield reduces laser damage by 50%.
You should still try to avoid.
    Blue Rotating Laser
The blue shield reduces laser damage by 50%.
You should still try to avoid.

    Phase 3 - Red Buff
Again, remember to control your buff so it expires before cpap’s equivalent buff. Be inside the circle below to obtain new resist buff.

The above is a picture of the red buff.
    Homing Bomb
Homing bomb will mark you with an indicator, does a lot of damage and aoe stuns.
The red shield will protect you from the stun only.
If you do not have the buff, you can avoid the one shot gear by being hit when on a wall/climbing.
    Red Frontal Laser
The red shield reduces laser damage by 50%.
You should still try to avoid.
This skill will stun you without the shield.
    Red Rotating Laser
The red shield reduces laser damage by 50%.
You should still try to avoid.
This skill will stun you without the shield.

    Phase 4
    12 O’clock Black Star
A set of 3 black stars will spawn at 12 o’clock, they need to be killed by hammers obtained from the rails.
However, because three spawn in one go, three people need to get three hammers.
Alternatively, the HG can use magnetic bomb to draw them in (below).
One hammer can then cleave all 3.
Knights can also Typhoon them together.
    Alarm Explosion
The boss will deal raid wide intensive AOE damage for 30 (?) seconds.
    15% HP (?) a hit.
    PRIESTS: INTENSIVE HEALING
KNIGHTS: SHIELD THIS IF YOU CAN
The group needs to stack, get healed, spam elixirs, potions, and healing lapentiers.
    Shield
The above is the preferred strategy for the last phase.
    Grab onto the wall.
Press jump, pick up, fall into the abyss, then throw the bomb on cpap.
DO NOT GRAB BACK ONTO THE WALL or you will lose the bomb.

    Conclusion
It seems that cpap is mechanically easier compared to its predecessors, however to due its armor scaling, the DPS uptime is quite intense. There is great responsibility on the 7 o’clock person to execute mechanics correctly.
