Here is an idea.
Each kill gives gold to both the killer and those who assisted. This is to be expected
However, people will often complain over KS. As they might use all their spells only to have a teammate auto attack at the last second and get the kill. My suggestion:
Take the total amount that can be given for a kill based on maximum assist percentages. Divide that number by 5. That number is the base amount given to the killer. Then the rest of the gold is divided by percentage. For example, on a kill lets say 2 people gank an enemy. One does the majority of the damage. the other barely does anything, but gets the kill. Lets say that normally the one who did the most damage would get 175 for the assist and the killer would get 300. Under the new method, the killer would get 95 plus 3.8 x the percentage damage dealt, and the assist would get 3.8 x the percentage damage dealt. Meaning if the killer did 10 percent, they would only get 133 whereas the assist would get 342. This gives incentive to kill the target, but at the same time gives gold where gold is due. This means that if someone did more than 62.5 percent of the damage, they would always get the most gold, even if they did not kill. However, if someone did more than 37.5 percent of the damage and killed, they would get the most gold.
